ADT crime statistics show that the theft of plasma televisions during house burglaries is on the increase.
If you buy a plasma television, do not leave the empty box on the pavement with your garbage bags. Cut the box up and dispose of the pieces inside a black bin bag. You should take the same precaution with the purchase of similar electronic appliances.

The safety of your loved ones is more important than any material possession. Please take some time to go through the following checklist so that you can be well prepared for any emergency situation. As the old saying goes, “prevention is better than cure”
Make a mental list of all the rooms in your home, and work your way through them ensuring that you´ve eliminated potential accidents, prepared emergency procedures and are ready for any eventuality.

1. WHAT IS THE PROPOSED NEW PLAN?
-
Combination of increased armed-response officers in the area combined with CCTV camera monitoring
-
Three dedicated armed-response officers - If all existing 650 Paulshof subscribers of security converted to iMvula Quality Protection, the company would provide three armed-response officers in vehicles dedicated to Paulshof – two in Paulshof Central (area serviced by Umhlanga and Stonehaven Roads) and one for Milcliff/Achter Road area.
-
CCTV cameras - In addition, once the critical mass of 650 subscribers has been achieved, approximately 50 CCTV cameras will be installed at strategic places around Paulshof. These cameras will be monitored on a 24-hour basis by a team of three trained alarm/CCTV monitor-operators who, in turn, will also be carefully monitored.
-
Unity equals negotiating power - Currently, individual residents contract with the service provider. By a unified effort, the community will exert greater influence over the quality of security provided. With the proposed system, the community will effectively “Own the Process”.
-
Dedicated programme - iMvula will establish a separate subsidiary company called Paulshof Security Projects (Pty) Ltd. This subsidiary company will be specifically dedicated to the Paulshof area.
The armed-response officers and the entire alarm-monitoring/CCTV system will be a totally dedicated Paulshof project.
-
Transferable - If the community later elected to change service-providers, all assets and liabilities of the Paulshof Security Project (Pty) Ltd, such as subscriber contracts, CCTV cameras and related equipment, would transfer to the new service provider. Effectively, the community will own the assets without the related legal responsibility – it’s a sweet deal!
-
Paulshof Security Project (Pty) Ltd would sub-contract the armed-response and guarding/monitoring function to iMvula Quality Protection (Pty) Ltd, similarly to the way closed “estates” contract out their guarding function.
